Chanted Meditations

Buddhist Centres engage in regular chanted meditations, or puja’s. These are free to attend and are held regularly at Buddha Land Centre in Keighley.

They sometimes feature beautiful offerings of food, flowers, and candles, and attendees are welcome to join in or just to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The ‘Heart Jewel’ puja is recited daily. By relying upon this practice, we can purify negativity, accumulate merit, and receive blessings. In this way, we will naturally accomplish all the realizations of the stages of the path of Sutra and Tantra, and in particular we will attain a very special Dharma wisdom.

‘Offering to the Spiritual Guide’ is recited on the 10th and 25th of the month. This is the supreme gateway to receiving blessings for all practitioners.

‘Liberation from Sorrow’ features praises and requests to Tara. She protects us from all internal and external dangers, provides us with all the necessary conditions for our spiritual training, and guides us and inspires us with her blessings as we progress along the spiritual path.

Please contact Buddha Land Centre if you would like to attend any of these practices (details are in the ‘Information’ section of this website), or see the ‘Other Kadampa Buddhist Meditation Centres’ page for details on other local Centres.
